The Carter Legacy
Pictured above are Ron and Kay Carter, original founders of the Old Mill Bargain Center which first opened for business in 1986 as a second hand store. Many of the store's patrons remember finding antiques along with unique odds and ends. In the year 1989, guns were introduced to the store and became a mainstay. Ron and Kay's legacy of honest work, fair pricing, family commitment, and reliable expertise have lived on through two generations. Nate is a general gunsmith who can most often be found behind the AR Rifle counter. He enjoys giving customers advice and recommendations from his long background in "fooling with guns since my early 20s." Parts not available for your firearm? Let Nate do a custom build for you.
Mike inherited an appreciation for firearms from his father, Ron Carter who pioneered this business in The Dalles. He and his wife Wendy manage the shop and love serving the loyal customer base of this community. Mike will help you walk out with the perfect setup every time.
Robin is a general gunsmith who enjoys having variety in the guns he works with. He has over 30 years of experience in the trade. When asked what the most incredible gun he had come across in his time was, he answered, " A Remington 1890, there were only 1300 made."
